Avatars and IDs in the Hegemony

The below figure shows the composition of a Tion Hegemony Avatar and an ID card (also known as signature image). If you are a member of the Tion Hegemony, your own set of these images will be automatically created for you. However, there are several requirements you need to meet before they are generated on our mainframe:

• You must be a member of the Tion Hegemony, or one of it's affiliated factions.
• You have to have citizen level access on the government Holosite. (Ask your superiors if they haven't given you that level yet. You may submit your images you want to include on them in the ID Center before getting this level of access.)

Rules

All official Tion Hegemony Avatars and ID cards are hosted under the tionhegemony.com Holonet domain, and they are generated and updated automatically every time you get a promotion or any other relevant detail changes in your citizen profile. While it is your privilege to use these images on any Holonet channel, you are not permitted to create your own version of these images, alter them yourself and/or upload them on a foreign image hosting service with the sole purose of using the alternate URLs in your messages. Images that look like official Tion Hegemony Avatars and ID cards hosted on foreign holosites are considered forgeries, and will not prove your membership, nor will be updated whenever you get a promotion or award.

Submitting your images in the ID Center

Optionally, there are two personal images included on your Avatar and ID card. They are marked Image 1 and Image 2 on the templates above. If you would like to add or change these images (before the time of creation, or later), please visit the ID Center board on the Tion ComNet, and make a post with your name in the title, and details of your request in the message.. The images you provide should be of adequate size and quality, and must be true to your identity. (Note: any offensive or sexual material will be rejected.)

If you choose to do so, please provide one or two images that we can crop/edit to match the needed format. The Art Team will do it's best to make those avatars look good on the final product.

If you would like to create these images yourself, here are the needed formats:
Image 1: 8, 24 or 32 bit .png file, 132×142 pixels in size.
Image 2: preferably 32 bit .png file, 113×102 pixels in size.
(Note: 32 bit .png files have an alpha channel, and they should have transparent backgrounds.)

Once your images have been prepared, they will be uploaded to the mainframe, and your Avatar and ID card will be automatically updated. You can visit your profile page on the Tion Hegemony Holosite to see them - you will also find the URLs linking to your images on the bottom of that page.

Setting up the Avatar and ID on the ComNet

To use your Avatar & ID Card image on our ComNet (or any other forum using the SMF engine), click Profile on the top navigation bar on the forum, select "Forum Profile Information" under Modify Profile on the new sidebar. To link in your avatar check the radiobutton next to "I have my own pic", and enter the following text to the text box next to it:

Scroll down and enter the following text to the Signature text field:

Don't forget to click the "Change Profile" button at the bottom of the form, and your settings will be saved.
