Son of Kodor Setth, a star ship engineer who worked for the Republic his whole life.

Kai was born with a rare and deadly medical condition that makes him allergic to the air. His father concerned about that situation designed and built a breathing suit that filters the air allowing his son to survive.

Life was hard in Yag`Dhul and Kai grewn up alone, even being the 4th child, admiring his father work. He decided that he wanted to follow the same steps and become the best ship builder in the whole galaxy.

At young age, Kai developed a new breathing system allowing him to change the suit his father did to a simple face mask that he wears full time.
